Keeping your pets healthy during the summer months is an important part of being a responsible pet owner. Here are some tips you can use to ensure your furry friends stay in good health all season long:

1. Make sure your pet has access to fresh, clean water at all times. This will help keep them hydrated and avoid any possible issues due to dehydration.

2. Exercise is important for pets year round, but it's especially important during the summer months when they're more likely to be exposed to the heat. Make sure your pet gets plenty of time outdoors (perhaps taking walks with dogs in the morning and evening) and engage in activities that keep them active and cool. Make sure that if your animals spend a lot of time outdoors that they have a place to be in the shade.

3. If you live in an area with a high concentration of insects, ensure your pet is up to date with their flea and tick treatments. This will help prevent any potential pest infestations that could lead to health issues. Here at Bee Max Healthy, we reject harmful chemicals, so this combo of botanicals: GERANIOL & PEPPERMINT, is what we use on our kitties. And this is what we use on our doggies, which also contains plant oils and zero chemicals. It's a spray, so it can be used on their bedding and other hot spots. As we all know, fleas and ticks can also spread some deadly diseases to humans.

4. If you're planning an outdoor trip or activity with your pet, make sure they have access to shade and plenty of water. Keeping them cool and hydrated is the best way to prevent heat stroke or exhaustion. Buy them one of these hard plastic kiddie pools, especially if they are doggies that love water.

5. Whatever you do, do not under ANY circumstances keep your pets in a car. "After an hour, the average in-car temperature is 43 degrees higher than the outdoor temperature. After 90 minutes, this rises to 48 degrees higher. Therefore, when it's 90 degrees outside, it could reach an incredible 138 degrees in your parked car. That's hotter than any outdoor temperature ever recorded on earth!"

Following these tips can help ensure your pet stays healthy throughout the summer months. With some extra attention and care, you can keep your furry friends safe and happy all season long!

As always, Bee Max Healthy encourages you to check with your trusted health care provider if you plan to change your diet, supplements, and/or increase your physical activity.
